About Living Hope

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Living Hope is a group of folks who believe we are well-served by a merciful and mighty God in his Word & Sacraments. We serve him by serving our neighbors and community, and we provide childcare and preschool through Our Precious Lambs.

Living Hope gathers on Sundays at 8:45 am for singing praise, for listening to portions of the Bible, for prayers, for encouraging one another, for considering opportunities to serve locally, nationally and internationally. There is a place here for you.

What we believe:

  • We believe that the Holy Bible is God’s Word and that His will is revealed to us there in written form.
  • We believe that all people have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that he has won salvation for us all.
  • We believe that those who have faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior and are baptized will be saved and have eternal life!

Get to know us:

We are a group of caring Christians in southwest Omaha, NE. We serve Jesus Christ by providing opportunities for people to learn about Jesus, sing His praise and grow in faith and in life.

Pastor Tom Jeske serves the people of Living Hope as well as assisting other WELS churches in the area. He and his family have lived in Omaha since 1995.

Our Precious Lambs Child Care and Preschool offers the families in our community care and education for their little ones. Becky Pederson is Director of OPL.

Women Serving Christ: The ladies of our congregation enjoy Christian fellowship and opportunities to be involved in various activities and mission projects through WSC.

Mingles exists as a way to have Christian fellowship and fun outside of the church. It is for Adults 18+ and open to singles, married, friends, etc. Please feel free to invite friends who may not have a church home! Activities will be noted in the bulletin and put on our calendar.

Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.  Living Hope is a member of WELS, which is the third largest Lutheran church body in America.  We are a confessional Lutheran church.  This means that we subscribe to the Book of Concord of 1580 as the standard of our teaching and practice. 

Martin Luther was a very interesting man who dug deeply into God’s Word, the Bible, to find answers for his many spiritual questions.  We invite you to join us at Living Hope next Sunday as we delve into that same Holy Word, and learn that it still speaks to us today in its truth and purity.
