Update from Napal

More than 8,000 people have been killed by the two earthquakes in Napal, the first of which hit April 25 about 85 miles east of Kathmandu. WELS Christian Aid and Relief provided $32,000 to the WELS mission contact in Nepal so he could bring blankets, medicine, sleeping mattresses, and food to the rural areas of the Dhading district. The counselor shares, “The destruction is worse than we imagined. Thirty-nine of our members perished in the quake. Every one of our 10 churches in this area was destroyed. . . .
